I am not entirely sure what source is linked to the menu item OSM base layer. Is it BASE?

I am sorry - I accidently replaced the URL for the OSM base layer in #27. I was just looking for the domain. I hope you can sort out the confusion I describe in the following.

OSM base layer

However the former URL http://topo.openstreetmap.de/base/ does not work. According to the OSM wiki the tile server url for OSM base layer could be http://base.wanderreitkarte.de/base. Though, the URL is no longer valid. To my confusion some content is shown when you load http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/base into your browser (note that the URL is different).

Hills

I also tried http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/hills as listed on the wiki page. Same result, invalid URL.

As far as I can see, Base and Hills don't work. I'd be quite happy to just remove them.

Geofabrik doesn't have a free tile source: http://www.geofabrik.de/maps/tiles.html
