"Quick note and deck buttons": Add Notes sometimes shows fields from the wrong type.

How can you be in the “Add Notes” window for a note that you have already added/created?

The window is not closed when adding.

I won't try to reproduce it now, but here are some possible hints.

1. I am using the Incremental Reading Extension addon.
2. The IR deck and SR decks are inside the deck that is selected.
3. The selected deck's selected note type is Cloze (the actual name is different).
4. I see an IR card (type IRead2), select text in it, and extract it (press Ctrl+0).
5. That opens the Add window, with IRead2 and IR selected, and two fields pre-filled.
6. The text was too big, so I switched windows and was doing something else. I may also have used other Anki windows before or after adding the note, most likely just the main window to review.
7. I added the IR card.
8. Later I looked at the Add window, and saw fields from the Cloze type. The normal Anki buttons were still showing IRead2 and IR.

Hmm.

I did not see you mentioning actually pressing any of the quick change buttons.

When did you change from one note type to another or from one deck to another with the the quick change buttons? If you did not, i assume this is somebody else’s problem.

In the same vein, did you try this without the quick note and deck buttons add-on? Did it happen only with this add-on installed?

I think I've never removed this add-on since then. :-P

Sorry, it turns out that it happens immediately every time, also without this addon.
