Would like your opinion here, @jancborchardt : what about changing the option for "Uploads only via wifi" . I mean, not just for instant uploads of new pictures, but for simply *all the uploads *.

Yes, good point and I guess it’s good to simplify it that way. The file will then be shown in the upload queue nevertheless, right? Then it could say »Uploads only via Wifi« as the header for that section in the Upload view as feedback.

Yes, that's nice.

Besides, I would change the text from 'Enable Instant Uploads' to something that includes the 'camera' or 'new picture' there. Such us 'Upload new pictures', 'Instant upload of new pictures', etc...

And would make both options independent, of course.

As I have added a new "instant uploader" for custom folders this is also relevant for me.
I do not think that it is a good idea to just have one "upload only via wifi" setting for all uploads.
User may want to distinguish between Pictures by camera, videos by camera, whatsapp folder and so on...
So I think it is fine as it is now: To have "only via wifi" (and later "only when charging") for all these instant uploader separately. These are settings that the user will set maybe only once a time...

The other part: greying out "only uploads via wifi" is right and I will implement it now.

This is done in PR #825
Upload Path and "only via wifi" is toggled by enabling/disabling "instant upload".
Same for video upload.
