The options are case sensitive, the default name that is created for the keyword argument is lowercase. You can explicitly make it uppercase if you want.

Hi, @mitsuhiko
For example:

import click

@click.command()
@click.option("--Hello")
@click.option("--hello")
def hello(**kwargs):
    print(kwargs)

if __name__ == "__main__":
    hello()

I can only get one variable, 'hello'. Any idea for this special case?

Any updates? I really case-sensitive variables corresponding to option names.

You can do this:

import click

@click.command()
@click.option('hello_1', "--Hello")
@click.option('hello_2', "--hello")
def hello(**kwargs):
    print(kwargs)

if __name__ == "__main__":
    hello()

from click.

That said, if you have long options (not short ones) that change in nothing but the capitalization you should probably change the interface to not be confusing for users.
