Wanted to provide an update on this, as a follow-up to what @bennydiamond had identified above.
As noted in the bug about Terracotta textures, and the comment about my subsequent successful test, I've taken a look at the log produced by PapyrusCs when it is running.
Commit commit #cc32985 appears to have fixed this.
However, given that nothing was specifically done to address this, I'm not sure this can yet be marked as "fixed and closed".
There's enough differences, between my compiling my own version of the code and using an installed (rather than embedded) version of .NET Core 3.X (I think i ended up installing 3.1), that I'm not sure this is a certified resolved issue.

Installed 0.5.1 update on my linux server.
This is all working correctly. No errors of this type were experienced.
This @bennydiamond I believe this can be closed as "resolved".
I'm going to use the "Close and Comment" button.
