There are some blockers in paratii-lib right now:

• cannot fetch data about a video w/o an ethereum address #24
• cannot properly install/use paratii-lib without some local hacks and npm link #23
• in general, I think we need some documentation/demo about how to properly instantiate and use ParatiiEth

@jellegerbrandy perhaps you can help shed some light on an issue I'm having w/ paratii-lib:

Info to reproduce:

• paratii-portal branch 16-player
• yarn link to paratii-lib on branch ipfs, and run yarn run pack within paratii-lib
• from within paratii-portal, run yarn run dev

I am instantiating ParatiiEth like so. Whenever I attempt to call eth.vids.get(), I get the following error:

Any idea of the mistake I am making? Not sure how to properly use ParatiiEth..

EDIT: I think I have realized that the video ids I have been trying to get() were mongo ids, from paratii-player. In a url of /play/{videoId}, what exactly do we expect videoId to be? An ethereum id?

• the fact taht you need an address is probably a bug in paratii-lib (tracked here: Paratii-Video/paratii-js#24)
• as far as the library is concerned, videoIds can be any string. I thikn we may want to use uuid's eventually
• We should fix the docs, but the comment on Paratii-Video/paratii-js#24 should clarify some things

maybe we could open new specific issues about the hover, the like, ecc.
