We will investigate and close as appropriate. At minimum, we'll review the error messages to ensure they are sufficiently descriptive for both user & developer. (Extra detail may be available on the console.)

Our next release will provide more details, specifically the text of any error message received from the server, in the console log. That should make it easier for everyone to determine the source of this sort of problem.

I am also getting the same error in sandbox . I have installed paypal SDK 1.1.1.
Can you please look into this?

@Sreekakula please check your console log for additional details from the server.

@Sreekakula thanks for the information from your console log.

A few more questions for you:

  1. Is the error still happening today? (I'm wondering whether our Sandbox server might have been having a transient problem.)
  2. At which point in the flow are you getting this error? Is it when you tap "Send Payment" on the "Confirm" screen? Or when?
  3. If you like, you could email me the credentials you are using (kPayPalClientId and kPayPalReceiverEmail, as well as the Sandbox account you trying to pay from) and I will try reproducing your issue.

@Sreekakula happy to hear that! I guess that the Sandbox was temporarily misbehaving.

Is this integration only for US accounts? I have a client in UK and he wants this integration in his app.

from paypal-ios-sdk.

dgoldman-pdx avatar dgoldman-pdx commented on July 17, 2024

@sophyandres This PayPal Mobile SDK does indeed work for UK vendors. See this page for more details about international support.

sophyandres avatar sophyandres commented on July 17, 2024

@dgoldman-ebay I asked that because I receive the same error when switching to live integration. I created the paypal app, I placed the client id and email and tried to do a test payment on live environment and I get this error, from this discussion.

from paypal-ios-sdk.

dgoldman-pdx avatar dgoldman-pdx commented on July 17, 2024

@sophyandres that does seem odd. Can you please check the console log? Our SDK should have written out a slightly more detailed message there, which might help me understand what is happening.

At precisely what point in our UI flow are you getting this message?

from paypal-ios-sdk.

Sreekakula avatar Sreekakula commented on July 17, 2024

@dgoldman-ebay
The client is of US only.
But paypal people suggested not to use the SDK.
So at present we are not using.

@Sreekakula I don't understand. Which PayPal people suggested this, and why?

Hi. getting same issue right now. Both Android and iOS SDK, sandbox. Yesterday it was working fine

@maxydey Please try again now. There may have been an issue with sandbox earlier but it should work now.

Also, please open a new issue if this persists. It helps us track issues better. Thanks.
