@dgoldman-ebay Can you think of any temporary workarounds? Is there a way to get the PayPal confirmation e-mail to ask the user if they want to start a recurring subscription and do that via the web?

The confirmation email from PayPal is outside of our control here, so we can't add your suggested text (e.g., "Go to to start a recurring subscription.") to it.

Of course, your app could simply send the user to your own website to set up a recurring payment. But, of course, you wouldn't need our iOS SDK to accomplish any of that.

While you're waiting for our SDK to add these features, you might want to look into using one of PayPal's older SDKs, such as Mobile Express Checkout (https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/mobile/gs_MEC/) or MPL (https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/mobile/gs_MPL/).

@getaaron one other thing: While subscription support isn't in the "super soon" category, we do have some upcoming capabilities in the "not terribly distant" category that will make it possible to roll subscriptions yourself.

If i understand correctly the future payments don't solve the issue.
Future payments are not really subscriptions / recurring payments, they still require user interaction...
Any idea when subscriptions / recurring payments will be available through the SDK?
