It was just a temporary solution to ping. The final ping version was implemented 2 weeks ago. The implementation is as follows:

Server-side:

• 3 seconds socket timer (an exception is thrown if a message does not arrive within 3 seconds)
• 1,5 seconds ping message to a client

Client-side:

• 3 seconds socket timer (an exception is thrown if a message does not arrive within 3 seconds)
• 1,5 seconds ping message to a server

This implementation allows you to listen to a client disconnect from the server, and to listen to a server disconnection from the client.
