pdm fails to find different versions of a dependency for different platforms

A better workaround would actually be to use pdm lock --strategy no_cross_platform (https://pdm-project.org/latest/usage/dependency/#cross-platform).

However, it's buggy because it does not list wheels for different python versions:

so installing with another Python version uses the sdist. I opened #2568 to track this specific problem.
