Honestly, speaking I think that's fine; even in FF nickname squatting is allowed and I agree sooner or later we will have to add an extra protection layer so we can use Twitter, Google OAuth for this. Though the original idea of Pepyatka is an escape hatch I believe we should not limit it only for FF users, however (hijacking the thread) optional FF import/sync is really nice to have.
