Not seen this at all to be honest, it looks like an error reading the BlueTooth packet by the OS. I use a Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 to test and they are on 4.4.4. There have been bugs in some versions of the BlueTooth stack in certain circumstances (like when 10+ beacons are present), so it sounds like you have almost certainly hit that rather than a bug in this library. I'm going to migrate to the new AltBeacon version of the backend library which offers greater beacon flexibility, but if it's in the underlying OS you will get exactly the same problem, but you can specify the shape of the beacon packet which is acceptable. That said your beacon data looks completely trashed, so it probably won't have all the info you need anyway.

Unfortunately not. I've written an email to the manufacturer but without responses. You are right, the advertisement packet data is completely trashed so it's not suitable for beacons. The device is a Doogee Dagger DG550 so all you are warned about this problem. I will continue using my patched Galaxy Nexus :(
