Also, direction should be a getter/setter to allow users to override it and do additional logic when changing direction. In the case of my game I want to set the direction and have logic to correct the orientation of the animation.

I think they are useful to add back in, not so much for game logic but as a helper to go with animation states very much so.

These use to be there under the Collision class, which seems to have vanished with the rewrite. I used them a lot in my Flixel code, so would appreciate either porting instructions or them being added back in.
