@dirkesquire those changes are apache changes to allow the vhost or directory to use it's own .htaccess file.
For IIS you can't do that, it's not a matter of IIS supporting php files, but it's a matter of IIS not supporting a standard .htaccess file.
Some solutions:
- You may want to look on rewriting the .htaccess file into a web.config file http://www.iis.net/learn/application-frameworks/install-and-configure-php-applications-on-iis/translate-htaccess-content-to-iis-webconfig
- Or try using helicon's ape: http://superuser.com/questions/800261/using-htaccess-with-iis
- Or install apache on that windows server

This is basically the same issue as we discussed:
#50
I just did a fresh install to Winhost, and am getting the same problem again, despite having gotten the absolute most recent githup code.
Unfortunately configuration in Winhost isn't as configurable as my own server and I don't think I can reach /etc/apache2/sites-available/phpback.conf to make the same patch as I had to make last time in #50.

Actually I'm at a bit of a loss on what changes I would need to make in IIS for the same fixes that we did in Apache previously. Any tips?

I'm still looking for any IIS install instructions. Since IIS supports php, i'm not sure why it doesn't work.
If there is any guide for this I'm sure it would help.

I'm having the same problem with PhpBack and IIS.
I managed to import the .htaccess (IIS, your website -> URL rewrite -> import rules, paste the content of .htaccess) in the root directory, but the website appears to be buggy, as in having <?= $title; ?>
as the rendered title.
Parts of the admin dashboard work, like /admin/users but not /admin/system.
I try to find a better solution. helicon's ape doesn't seem to be free of charge. I'll look more into hierarhical imports of .htaccess or ways to enable the mod_rewrite in IIS

Does anyone know to open admin/system
? It just throws an 500 error. I guess that is where I can define the categories.
