I haven't run into this issue before. Is the launch on Ubuntu outside of the docker container? What CentOS version are you trying to run the compiled binary on that segfaults? If you build the binary in debug mode, maybe you can get a core dump that gives a bit more detail on where the segfault is happening (running in valgrind could also give more detail).

Can you try Holy Build Box 3? It upgraded to CentOS 7, does that still produce crashing binaries? If so, can you post more details about the crash?
