The CLI will look for a .phylum_project
in the current working directory. If it does not find one, it will go up the tree until it does (or exit if one isn't found). This is so a user can run phylum analyze
from any subdirectory of a given project, and have it associate with the correct Phylum project.
When this issue was filed, I had a .phylum_project
in the parent directory. This is expected behavior. Removing the .phylum_project
at the root results in the expected output:
❗ Error: Failed to find a valid project configuration. Did you run `phylum projects create <project-name>`?
from cli.
