Just banged into this issue, manifesting as "IE can't view any PDFs," but it probably affects more than IE.
Is there any sensible workaround short of not using the static middleware to deliver PDFs?

I'd never use node for file serving beyond a dev environment personally, but I don't think so, if this issue was fixed it might behave properly and download the entire thing im not sure

We have nginx serving them directly, and that does seem to make the most sense anyway, but it would be nice not to be busted in dev, yeah.

I think it would be more appropriate to simply return the entire entity-body as if no Range
header was present for this case.

Thanks!
