Hi @mabolek,
why not use EXT:cart by @extcode for everything shopping cart related?
EXT:cart is a good place to start and has already many e-commerce features.

On the opposite side, EXT:cart is missing a good product management. There's EXT:cart_products but is missing many features that instead EXT:pxa_product_manager has. But has a good price handling (special prices for quantity or groups of FE users) and stock handling.

I think that a good synergy of EXT:pxa_product_manager and EXT:cart could finally provide a great e-commerce solution for TYPO3.

Hi @extcode, FYI I just started to try to integrate this extension with EXT:cart looking at EXT:cart_products. Is there a tutorial or instructions with the required steps to follow to speed up this process?
(so far I found the AddToCartFinisher hook)

@webian Thanks for bringing this good idea. I suggest we have a meeting and discuss a collaboration on integrating the Product Manager and Cart extensions more closely. How about 15:00 CEST Friday or 11:00 Monday? (@extcode, you should also feel free to join.)

The intention of the Product Manager has always been to be a product database, but not a fully blown ecommerce solution. However, time and time again, simple product listings have grown to need more ecommerce. Having a good connection to Cart would be chance to avoid double work and still retain flexibility.

A new TYPO3 v10 editing of the Product Manager is also in the works. It will simplify the core, but also make integrations easier to build, plug in, and maintain. That means this is an excellent time.
