My expectation (basing off go-ssb) is that yeah your own feed gets deleted if it's in the ban list. It sounds weird but it is important that the ban list prevents people from publishing terrible things using scuttlego, not just reading awful things using scuttlego (if someone has opted into using the ban list, i.e. by downloading an app like Planetary and agreeing to the ToS). You can still copy your private key out and take it to another app. It would be nice to have some kind of error letting people know they have been banned, but I don't think we need to spend time making the experience better for this user segment right now.

Well we could prevent the app from ever sharing that data with other nodes but just removing someone's content completely sounds like something that needs further discussion. Then they can't even try to move it to different clients.
