You'll find a working interactive example of dragging here: http://doc.gameclosure.com/example/events-input-drag/

It is likely you missed a setup step.

cool thanks, but actually what I missed is that there is an "enable drag" button on the top of the simulator. I guess drag is disabled by default which IMO doesn't make a lot of sense. Again thanks and sorry for opening this issue

The Enable Drag button in the simulator refers to dragging the simulated device, the frame that contains your game, not dragging within the game.
