Thanks for leaning in - I agree that we should perhaps leave it to the ink! team to maintain, or at least have a discussion about it before we make the call. Although ink! is its own thing, the lines can get a little blurred when we're trying to aim for a holistic Substrate developer experience and it might align better with our goals to have the ink! maintainers maintain it directly in our docs. I'll put the "blocked" tag for now and write back here once I speak with Hernando and get a better sense of direction.

Update: let's keep both separate, ink! is a completely separate product in the end and it serves devhub better to just point to it. 👍🏻

I think it is still completely standalone here: https://github.com/substrate-developer-hub/substrate-contracts-workshop, do we intend to absorb it? I think we should consult the ink! maintainers before attempting this, as they have their own theming, style, and docs. and in the end, ink! is not substrate, it just happens to be the tool of choice to use with the contracts pallet... right?

IMHO we should keep a separation of concerns here, and point to this standalone docs, tutorials, etc for ink. We should in-house that contracts pallet tutorial (that we have already) with the end pointing out to this.

As a note for a PR closing this issue: confirm rendering works per #28
