You can also press e to edit kernel options for the currently-selected boot option in systemd-boot.

You can edit kernel options by editing /etc/kernelstub/configuration and then running sudo kernelstub

oh shoot, let me give that a try. I thought I tried e, but I might of only tried esc. Once we figure it out it should def go on the docs or the website somewhere.

Ok I got it... I guess I pressed escape to late. Spam esc during boot, press e to edit line, press enter to boot. Thanks for the tips, and sorry for the useless report.

I got it to work for the most part, but it seems that system76-power is not shutting down the nvidia card.
Logging a bug there. Thank you for all the help.
