it seems that my keychain got deleted. even though i never marked my device as lost or stolen. so i have lost all my saved data in my keychain. i created a new empty keychain and everything is fine now. it would seem that this was preys fault and i am not very happy about that. if there is another possibility, please correct me as i would love to use the product if it can be found to not cause my system harm.

I also have this problem - only on my machine, even creating a new keychain doesn't work.

I don't really want to, but I may have to remove Prey if this problem can't be resolved soon as none of my favourite apps can store login information any more.

i have since deleted prey and cerated a new empty keychain which eventually got refilled with all my info. i havent had a problem since, although i havent tried to use prey again.

First of all, the action modules are activated regardless of the state of your PC. So you must have enabled the secure module which (if allowed to) deletes your user's credentials to prevent unauthorized access to your machine.

Currently, though, the Secure module doesn't delete any data, it simply "hides" it by appending a ".backup" extension to the folders you wish to secure -- in this case, your credentials.
