This sounds like an ipython issue, not related to bdbcontrib...?

Or that do_query isn't the right way to run statements without results. But not sure we really need a different API for that. Does printing the cursor reference seem particularly problematic? I suppose we could teach cursors resulting from create table to ipython display differently, but that's likely to be confusing in some other context.

Personal inclination is to nix do_query and just say bdb.execute(...), or df(bdb.execute(...)) if you want to get a pretty-printing pandas dataframe out of it.

Is this resolved now that we have q()? We could put another helper method in the notebook, do(), that throws away the result. Any code changes required here?
