If you want a realistic map, you must start with an SVG file and extract the PATH attributes. If you want a grid, you can just specify the x and y coordinates of the grid (if it's hexes, every other row is offset 1/2 a space to the right).

Once you have the PATHs or grid attributes, all you need to do is make a CSV file: for PATHs, it will have two columns, abbreviation and path, for grids it will have three columns, abbreviation, x coordinate and y coordinate. You can name the columns whatever you want, because you specify them when you instantiate the Chorogrid class. The csv goes in the chorogrid/databases folder.
