Hi Eamonn,

I am not a Mac dev, so I am not familiar with Homebrew, so please correct me if I misunderstood something.

What exactly do you need our approval of? You want to include some kind of script to ease installation on Mac? Seems very interesting to me, I have no objections to include it.

I plan to submit a PR to Homebrew project which provides a common script built in ruby to install the pupnp library on macOS. The script includes a link to the downloadable pupnp source tarball.

I do not expect any support from pupnp team, but wanted to make sure you were aware of the plan to submit the PR.

The homebrew system provides packaging for software on macOS. The homebrew system is well supported and commonly used for macOS development. Once homebrew is updated, any users with homebrew can leverage the pupnp library in macOS.

If there are no objections we can close this issue.

I found that there is an existing homebrew formula for libupnp.

I plan to update the libupnp formula with 1.8.3 version.
