problem was access denied to create directory for ~/.npm/esprima/1.0.4 because esprima had root permissions. Creating 1.0.4 directory solved problem.

Probably, previously you run npm with root rights?

I think we need Docker to solve this issue. Because system version often doesn't match with Node.js version used in project. And it is quite complicated to put Node.js into isolated environment, npm always uses ~/.npm/.

Should probably file a bug with nodeenv.py to print command output when they fail. Also, why is it doing -g in the first place? Should definitely install to local node_modules.

we had log for installing npm modules, so it was not needed. Now I don't
remember the path for it
