It's a very annoying bug when you dowload a file, then mark it as "do not download", delete it locally afterwards and yet qBittorrent still tries to share it with people and ends up spamming Windows notification center with error messages. Probably should open another issue, but if this gets implemented, then no need.

It's not a bug.

Wrong order of actions. In any case, you need to re-hash the torrent afterwards.

I omitted the part where you use the file/folder. After you're done with it, it makes sense to uncheck it in the client, and then delete it locally. Didn't know you have to rehash it though. Thanks for your input.

Yeah don't delete files manually if you want the software to operate normally. This suggestion is about adding a software-supported feature of deleting the files from qbittorrent.
It's still unclear to me what would be the most intuitive interface for it; assuming it's picked up of course; maybe just plainly at the bottom of the first level of the right click menu on a file assuming 'Do not download' is selected as priority (is there a feature of the UI library to make an option disappear depended on a condition? (though I guess "greyed-out" is definitely supported)).
