It worked fine for me when I last built it - right now I can't check on the build machine, but I suspect this is something specific to your setup.

Can you adjust the configure.py call in the PKGBUILD to add --verbose? Also, can you check whether you can build pyqt5 from the [community] repos without any issues?

Just tried on a separate computer to the same issue. The output with --verbose is the same (I think I may have actually sent the above with the --verbose flag already set.)

Building the [community] package works just fine

Just noticed that the [community] package is for PyQt 5.13.1 while this repo uses 5.13.0. Using the steps outlined at the bottom of the README to update switched it to using 5.13.1 and fixed the issue.

I tried making a pull request to update PyQt5 to 5.13.1. I wasn't sure how to create a pull request that deals with multiple branches, so I created them separately.
