I think the "render" group is a relatively recent change in upstream systemd. Which distribution and version are you using?

I'm running Debian buster (soon to be released but currently testing). The systemd/udev version is 241-5.

I saw the same problem on systemd 2.4.1 on Mageia 7 which used renderer group because that is specified in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules SUBSYSTEM=="kfd", GROUP="render", MODE="0666"

I checked that the upstream systemd udev rules are also using the "renderer" group instead of "video"

If I build the rocm 3.0 from sources, what files I should modify to change the group from "video" to renderer in my system?
