Jarvis is a Hackbit hackathon app built powered by IBM Watson (Natural Language Understanding services). He helps to extract people, companies, organizations, cities, geographic features etc. from the content.

It is built on top of many amazing projects, such as:

• IBM Watson
• IBM Bluemix cloud platform
• Create-react-app
• Express
• React-vis

Prerequisites

• Git - For more info visit visit git-scm.com
• Node.js version 8.4.0 or above - For more info visit nodejs.org
• npm version 5.3.0 or above
• Sign up for IBM Bluemix - See Account setup section
• [Optional] Visual Studio Code code editor - Recommended code editor. Includes vscode editor configs by default.

Notes:

• After prerequisites installation, make sure git, node and npm commands are accessible through console environment (git-bash or cmd or terminal) from any directory.

Setup

git clone https://github.com/Hackbit/nko2017-blackops.git

cd nko2017-blackops

npm install

npm start

http://localhost:3000

Account setup

To get your username and password, you'll need to sign up for IBM Bluemix. After you create an account:

• Log in to Bluemix and go to the Natural Language Understanding service page.
• Click the "Create" button.
• Click the "Service Credentials" tab on the Natural Language Understanding page in your Bluemix dashboard to view your credentials.
