If you come to my talk today on Acmeism it's all about releasing "modules"
to many languages at once. Unfortunately every language uses different
terms and/or uses the same terms differently.

For the full glossary, come to my talk.

The short answer is that an Acmeist "distribution"/"gem" is called a
"Package"!

I would be most honored/happy if Perl6 adopted this term. It is used that
way directly by Python and Node.js. Ruby uses gem and we use dist.

Four years later we use "distribution" to refer to perl 6 module installation. I think it's less confusing to use "release" but always making sure its "a release" and not "the release" since there are other releases such as El Che's binary packaging.

After considering renaming "distribution" to "release" in the docs I've decided there is little point. It just seems a futile exercise in semantics.
