I'm unable to repro this using a valid ObjectID value or an invalid ObjectID value or using a non-numeric ObjectID value. I get a different error if there's nothing in args. Can you alter your query_criteria to be FormattedID = and run it again to see if that works and if so, record the ObjectID value and use that specifically in the query_criteria (not passing in the ObjectID value on the command line) and see if it fails in the same way?

Additionally, do you have any custom fields defined for Defect in the target Workspace?

I ve tried a different way:

fields = "FormattedID",
criterion = 'Parent.Name = "Sports"'

query_criteria = 'Parent.Name = "Sports"'
response = rally.get('Project', query=query_criteria)

print response

And defined the workspace in the connection and still got the error
rally = Rally("server","user","password",workspace="workspace")

There's definitely an error in the rallyresp.py code file (line 370) that references an non-existing req_type instance variable when it should be referencing request_type. This will fixed in 1.1.1, but I don't yet have an estimated release date for that.

Is there any workaround? I am facing the same issue as well.

klehman-rally avatar klehman-rally commented on September 17, 2024

Temporary workaround would be to modify line 370 in pyral/rallyresp.py from:
(self.req_type, self.resultCount, self.content['Results'])
to
(self.request_type, self.resultCount, self.content['Results'])

Thanks. After doing as you suggested, it shows KeyError for self.content['Results'] . I have modified self.content['Results'] to self.content.get('Results') to get rid of it.
