@kpeters-cbsi thank you for bringing this up! I apologize for the delayed response, this went under my raydar somehow and I never saw it. I love the idea, this seems really important for a lot of uses cases.

Recently, the useQueryString (and similar parsing/validating input hooks useHeaders and useJsonBody) were overhauled a bit so they can accept a ZodObject instead of a callback function. So, you can implement this yourself today as:

import zod from 'zod'

useQueryString(
  zod.object({
    name: zod.string(),
  }).strict()
)

I'm thinking having to choose this style call just to use strict is a bit of a bad api. I'm going to update the hooks so you can return a zod object from the callback if you like. That would be:

useQueryString(z => 
  z.object({
    name: z.string(),
  }).strict()
)
