I had this issue and fixed it by updating the outdated installation of Google play services in my device. You can use this app to check the version installed in your device https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weberdo.apps.serviceinfo&hl=en

please try again with version 0.5.1 of the plugin. A lot has changed for android and you should definitely not see this message even on devices without play services.
check the readme / release note for more information. I close this issue but don't hesitate to ping me if something is not right.
