Specially iPhone in my case. But I was working with IBitmap so I suspect this will happen elsewhere.

@dylanvdmerwe Sure, but what BitmapLoader.Load does is entirely dependent on the platform. BitmapLoader.Load should throw if the image is invalid

Mmm yeah I see. Strange that BitmapLoader didn't moan about the link above on iPhone...

@dylanvdmerwe You should also make your DownloadImage correctly check the HTTP status code, that link returns a 404 error that just happens to have content
