Thanks for the details, they are way more helpful than some just saying "its broken". I'm working on a fix for this.

I had same issue. 1.0.3 and java7 on win7 64bit.

I could install Red5 service with correct parameters applying Red5/red5-service#2. Additionally, I found that we have to use prunsrv.exe for amd64 (not for ia32) on 64 bit environment.

Then, it seems that starting Red5 service is succeeded, but it finishes soon since as follows error. I'm investigating why this happens.

maybe it is possible to "cd %RED5_HOME%" on top of the script instead of escaping it everywhere?

I fixed a security issue with #28 and downgrade commons-daemon version for stopping red5 service with Red5/installer#3. I hope all issue would be fixed to start red5 service on 64bit windows environment.

The red5 windows service app is fixed in the 1.0.8-M1+ series.
