Hmm. But within Flutter plugins, it is convention (even if unofficial) to have a example directory that is a Flutter project (which, by definition has a pubspec). Take a look at all these extremely high profile packages (or literally any of the top flutter plugins), and they follow this system. If this is an issue, we need to educate the larger community, and that includes the Flutter plugins team itself. I didn't see anything in that link that indicated that you can't have a pubspec.yaml further in.
