No idea what that $dmnow thing in the error message is. Adding MonadHold t m to the context doesn't seem like a solution...

Sorry, should have mentioned that. Obviously the versions in my first comment aren't very useful information.

I think the problem was the missing now equation in the MonadHold t (UnrunnableT js t m) instance. #397 should fix this.
