In fact, gtk-test and relm-test are quite similar as relm-test depends on gtk-test.

That said, I'm well aware of this issue, but didn't have an idea yet how to approach this. I think this needs some help from the gtk4-rs side. The question is if some gtk4-rs applications have tests and how they look like... If you have any ideas, let me know.

In relm4-store codebase I'm running tests against gtk4, but I don't have any needs to inspect the widgets state (for now).
Since I couldn't find anything which handled the event loop for gtk4 test I've rolled my own code (link at the bottom).

When writing the code I've assumed that person writing test knows exactly how many event are there in the system and that there are no chains of events (one event causes sending other event, and another, and another, ...).

Widget state inspection should be easy code to write since they are gtk properties underneath which can be inspected.
