I can confirm this issue and that the above solution (changing call from watchFile to just watch) fixed my issue.
can someone propose a pull? need me to do it?

Except, my error was on line 195 of nodemon.js.
I'm running Windows Vista, Node 0.6.14.

I would hold off on this because the spec calls for watchFile to be a fall back, which should still be considered.

watchFile not used anymore. Closing (also, sorry - super old issue!)
