I like this idea but I'll keep it low priority for now.

If the addon removes its entries from prefs.js upon uninstall, user can easily accomplish a reset by uninstalling/reinstalling. If the option is presented in the prefs GUI, ought to raise a confirm prompt containing clear/strong words of warning.

Would be better to explicitely have to reset. Uninstalling can happen for various reasons and users may want to keep their settings for a later reinstall.
