It looks like free radius is expecting the chap-password attribute to be 17 bytes long: https://doc.freeradius.org/rlm__chap_8c_source.html (line 79).

According to the rfc (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2865#section-5.3) the chap-password attribute should have the first byte be the chap-ident and then the 16 byte response from the user. It looks like you are sending the 16 byte response without the chap-ident prepended to the payload.

@psanford Thank you ! You are right. Switching back to a direct link from Coova to FR, the size is different (17 instead 16) and the missing byte is always a 0 in front of the CHAP-Password
So now if i add a zero in my node request, FR returns the expected Accept-Accept !
