I am using Regalad Supreme Build V2 on a Pi 3 B+ with a SuperPi case. The shutdown and reset work in Emulation Station but not if I reboot into Attract Mode. In Attract Mode safe shutdown and reboot will only work via the menu and not by using the switches on the SuperPi. Any way to get it to work in Attract Mode?

Shutdown and reboot are system commands that should work regardless of what app is open. Please post your SafeShutdown.py file.

Thanks. I'm new to this. Where do I find that file? I also don't have it setup where my PC can see files on my SD card. Wasn't sure how to do that. It almost seems like if I could run the script again when in attract mode I would be fine. I just can't access the terminal to do it. F4 only works in Emulation Station. Is there another way or command through retropie setup or raspi-config to get to it? This build has its own safe shudown script built into it that works in Attract Mode but just not with the SuperPi buttons. I was able to overrwrite theirs or replace it in Emulation Station.

Use scp to copy the file locally, or on the pi from terminal use nano and snap a picture.

I am not familiar with retropie. Tried it once and wasn’t happy with how slow it was. I’m using raspbian lite. However, the way this script works should yield similar results across different Linux distros on the pi.
