@Mri8 Definitely possible! The codebook library should work with any tabular data, and mysql tables would definitely qualify.

There are a few ways you could do this, but the simplest is probably just to import your data from mysql into an R dataframe, and then run the codebook on the data frame. This article gives a high level overview of pulling the data in to R, and then you'd just run the codebook function.

Oh, and regarding adding rows and columns: the codebook summarizes for the entire data set by default, so adding rows or columns to your R dataframe will automatically add them to the codebook.
