Thanks for pointing this out. I've added the above commit to hopefully work around this issue.

I know I have to re-pull the repo keys that are required for DSE/C because AWS removes them at bake time. I'm wondering if the ubuntu-keyring was also part of this.

This showed up in my ami.log, so not sure how much affect this has for you, but it looked okay on my end:

Can't reproduce this with the dev-2.6 ami's currently under test. Closing.
