I'm not very good at diagnosing installation issues, but this is clearly wrong; for me it says ==1.61.0 when I reinstall; hence you are basically running an out of date version which is why the example code fails. You could check your local files against what is shown on git hub for a very recently committed file to see if they match. If they dont, then your git clone is at fault. If they do, then something weird is going on with your install. As a linux user I might sometimes have to delete /home/rob/pysystemtrade/build, or the directory /home/rob/.local/lib/python3.8/site-packages/pysystemtrade-1.12.0-py3.8.egg. if an old installation is hanging around.
