I think main target of NixNote is being a client for Evernote.
Although you can have local notebooks and you could setup a script to backup the whole nixnote directory to whatever cloud server you consider, but by doing this you would use all the benefits of Evernote cloud service - like incremental sync, OCR on attachments and mainly instant access on all your other devices.

So - this gives no sense to me.

The reason why I asked this was inability to login to Evernote from the tool: i registered with Google account in the browser, and the tool opens a web page with login/password, which I do not have obviously :) so syncing is not usable as it is now.

What is displayed on "Evernote Login" page is in control of Evernote - its part of Evernote web pages. App can't control it. You have 2 options:

1. To go Evernote web page and create username/password - later you can login with both - either with Google login or with username/pwd (you can also activate 2 factor auth for both).
2. Click a bit in the login window until you find the "Login with Google" option - I succeeded after a while

I think you need to click on the Evernote Logo, then click create account.. and voila "Login with Google" appears
