I am glad you like the extension. I am sorry you encountered an issue.

Version 1.5 works for me and others. I can only guess that it is specific to the snippets you have on your system. Please provide your system information - go to the main menu in VS Code and select Help and then About from dropdown. Copy the info here. Are you working locally?

Since a snippets file is a JSON file, it is possible to have malformed JSON data inside. It is on my list to make the extension more resilient for funky input. The only suggestion I can make is to remove your snippets and add them back one by one to find the culprit. If you do find the file that causes the issue, you can add it here. That is the only way I can replicate the issue. If I can't replicate the issue, I can't do anything.

Hello Rob,

I uninstalled ES7 React snippets and Simple React Snippets. I JSON validated my personal snippets and that is a valid json file. I also temporarily deleted my personal snippets.

I'm still getting the error on both a Linux/Ubuntu machine and on a Mac.

On Ubuntu my vsCode is:

I tracked down a cause of the "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading '0')'" error. If you run the command Snippets Ranger: Show me that dur Range, Partner without an open workspace, this error is thrown.

The Snippets Ranger: Show me that dur Range, Partner command should work fine when a workspace is open or there is a snippets file with invalid JSON.

I fixed this issue in v1.5.1. Can you check if that has resolved things for you please @eleach ?
