Thanks for getting back to me, yes I reviewed #18 but also had a hunch that it would be related.

temporary fix:

• open includes/roots-cleanup.php and remove everything at the top UNTIL the root relative area (lines 1-55)
• comment out line #11 in functions.php to not include the html5 boilerplate htaccess (might not be necessary)
• refresh admin page

only difference:

instead of seeing /css/, /js/, /img/, you're going to see: /wp-content/themes/themename/css/, etc.

@PixelClear is this fixed now with the latest version of roots? i haven't tested a MU install yet

I'm new to this.
I have a WP multisite install and tried with your latest version, it still breaks in MU.

Your temporary fix does the trick.

this should be working fine now. i setup a test MU install with the latest roots, installed a subsite and activated roots and both sites functioned properly.

mine didn't work until i updated my .htaccess with the instructions wordpress provided: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network#.htaccess_and_Mod_Rewrite
